messages is through the cloud why a
Google Drive on Android or iCloud on iOS
so if you have just deleted a chat on
whatsapp and want to restore it this
trick will only work if the daily auto
backup of whatsapp hasn't been completed
after you deleted the chat to restore
the backup file quickly uninstalled
what's up from your smartphone now
reinstall it launched what's up and set
it up
once done you will be prompted to
restore a backup file from Google Drive
hit restore this will bring back the
messages you had accidentally deleted
now this is the easiest method to get
your chats back which I guess everyone
must be knowing but the other way that
I'm about to tell you only works on
Android and doesn't require you to have
a cloud backup on Google Drive here's
how to do it now go to your phone's file
manager and open the whatsapp folder
after that open the database folder this
folder contains all the wats our backup
files that are stored locally on your
phone now select the file named MSG
store dot DV dot 12 and we named it
to MSG store - newest or DB dot trip 12
this is your most recent what's our
backup and we are renaming it to prevent
overwriting it now select any file in
the format MSG store - here - month -
state dot one dot DV dot crypt 12 and we
named it to MSG store dot DB dot rip 12
as I mentioned above be want to do this
process only if the Google Drive backup
has happened after you deleted the
messages you want to restore so you'll
have to delete the Google Drive backup
for now open Google Drive tap the
hamburger icon and select backups now
delete the what's our backup now
uninstalled whatsapp and then we install
it after that set it up
once done you will get a prompt to
restore charge from a local backup tap
on restore and you'll get your charts
back
