what's up everyone from my apartment in
Manila as I'm currently in process of
getting my Venezuelan visa which is the
very last visa I need to secure before
visiting every country in the world I
thought I would make a little video
explaining what is a visa and how to get
them
a visa is basically a document that
allows you to enter a country for a
specific length of time to do a specific
thing at such a study work or be a
tourist it's funny because I never
really talked about getting visas but
it's one of the biggest challenges I
have of visiting every country ok now
I'm running to this lady's house to get
my freaking visa my Libya visa and then
I gotta go straight to the airport
I've even booked my flight yet I don't
want to check my visa to make sure that
it's legit and she lives like on the
other side of the freaking city and then
I gotta go all the way back to the
airport
so in this video I will be explaining
how to get visas for all of you aspiring
travelers out there firstly you need to
check whether or not you need a visa for
your desired country and the way you do
that is by checking the Wikipedia page
in my case I find the page called visa
requirements for US citizens and it's
never once failed me in the last eight
years it updates immediately whenever a
visa requirement changes but if you want
more proof than go to your government
website and check each country we'll
give you one of three options option 1
is visa-free which means you can
literally show up at the airport or land
border with your passport and get
stamped in no problem and with no
payment with my US passport I can do
this in 176 countries while Deana can do
it in 67 countries with her Philippines
passport option 2 is that you will need
to get an e visa or visa on arrival to
enter a country sometimes the e visa
requires you to get it a few days or
even weeks in advance with a payment
online and other times you can get it
directly at the airport or land border
after paying a fee about to walk over
the uzbek 'san border from Tajikistan
then they will stamp the visa in your
passport and you're good to go
thank you
an example of this is Ethiopia I just
paid $50 each time at immigration and
they give me this fancy sticker option
three is that you'll need to get a
proper visa in advance before visiting
your desired country and this can only
be attainable at one of their embassies
it's typically easiest to get it in your
home country but you can also get it on
the road as I've done many times I have
the receipt paper incident we want to
make the payment now getting visas at
embassies is always the longest most
expensive and most annoying option you
must obtain all the requirements such as
proof of occupations a bank statement to
prove you can afford it your flight and
hotel confirmations and explain to what
you will be doing in the country
sometimes you even need to go a step
further by showing a doctor's note and a
criminal background check then you must
leave your passport with the embassy for
anywhere from 1 to 30 days while they
process your application you pay the fee
which ranges from 20 to $300 and then
pick up your passport with a shiny new
visa stamped in finally I got the
passport I'm going to Libya it's
official and now we're just going to run
to the airport and get to Syria first
sometimes you can pay an extra fee to
expedite it and occasionally you can get
your passport mailed back to your home
but every embassy is different so you
must always check so in a nutshell that
is the process for how I get visas and
as I've told you throughout this video
it really varies country by country and
in a follow-up video I will be sharing
with you the five most challenging and
expensive visas that have ever gotten so
stay tuned for that but for now I can
sit back and relax and it's a great
feeling to know that I am just about
done with this visa process to every
country in the world thanks for watching
and I will see you guys later
